​Meryl Russo founded One Warm Scarf in 2017.
                                                                                     

Our mission is to be a part of the movement to empower adults to break the cycle of homelessness. This is a daunting task. We do our part by collecting scarves, undergarments and clothing. One Warm Scarf would not succeed without our dedicated volunteers.

Some of the organizations we’ve partnered with include Allentown Rescue Mission, Saint John’s Hospice, Bethesda Project, Philly Place, Broad Street Love, Cradles to Crayons, and Project HOME. Outreach teams at Project HOME deliver donations directly to those living on the streets.  

                                                                                       

In 2022, One Warm Scarf expanded our efforts to include new men’s and women's socks, t-shirts and underwear, items that cannot traditionally be donated like coats and clothing.

In 2025, we introduced our WARM CLOTHING DRIVE. We now accept new and gently-used winter items.

One Warm Scarf collects September through April. However, we gratefully accept donations year round. If you don’t knit or crochet, you can still help by donating new or gently-used scarves, and sharing our mission with friends, relatives and neighbors!
